Hi! My name is Kristen and I am a self proclaimed “Space Journalist” covering all issues relating to space, science and technology. Currently, I am a journalism graduate student in the West Virginia University Reed College of Media (phew!).  I’ve dedicated the majority of my college career to covering science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) in my home state of West Virginia. Fortunately, two internships with NASA Goddard Space Flight Center has helped me with this endeavor.

Working to promote science through various forms of media has led me to a greater appreciation for science communication. I like to argue about why it’s important, talk about who’s reporting it and learn how we can do it better.  I’m also a huge supporter of STEM education and outreach, so we’ll be looking at all the wild and wonderful opportunities in and around West Virginia.

As you can see, communication is important to me!  Shoot me and email at KristenBasham3291@gmail.com, or find me on Twitter at @Kbasham1.
